Extec Northeast was established in 1999, as an independent distributor for the Extec brand of mobile screening and crushing equipment.  Founder and president, Damien Donaghy, has worked directly for Extec Inc. in the New York Tri-State area since 1992.  From the beginning, Extec Northeast has supplied their customers with a quality product and excellent service to become the leading supplier of portable screening and crushing equipment in the region. 

Since Extec Inc. began in 1987, they have been a leading force in material handling equipment.   Extec’s unrivalled R& D program has revolutionized the mobile screening and crushing industry with the S series doublescreen screeners and C series mobile crushers.  These innovative products have helped elevate Extec to the top of the portable screening and crushing industry. 

In 2007 Sandvik acquired Extec Screens & Crushers Ltd. and Fintec Crushing & Screening Ltd.  Soon after, Sandvik appointed Extec Northeast as the exclusive dealer for Fintec equipment in the region as they began to integrate the two product lines.  Starting in 2010, the Extec and Fintec lines of equipment are marketed under the Sandvik brand.  This merger creates one of the world’s largest and most comprehensive lines of mobile screening & crushing equipment, backed by Sandvik’s quality and renowned worldwide support network.  

Extec Northeast will now operate under Northeast Equipment Group.  Northeast Equipment Group is the authorized dealer for Sandvik Mobile Equipment in the Tri State area (New York, Northern New Jersey & Southern Connecticut).  The change of our company’s name is due to the unification of Extec and Fintec within the Sandvik Mining & Construction Division. 

Going forward, Northeast Equipment Group will continue to expand our product lines.  We are dedicated to customer satisfaction and our after-market team will continue to provide excellent parts, service and technical support to meet the needs of our customers and the demands of the industry.
